Misinformation & Ignorance

Many of our preconceptions and ideas about places are shaped by the media we consume and ideas we are taught. Because of these notions, most of us have no interest in learning about or visiting certain parts of the world. Similarly, we can become disappointed when a 'highly rated place' doesn't fill our need, desire or expectation. Sometimes, it's only by conversing with people of different backgrounds that we can learn the truth about places. It's not even enough to learn about a place from just individuals from that place! Along with our different ideas and preconceptions, we have different experiences. We can't allow misinformation about anything, including places, to misguide our thinking.  Steven Ndukwu is a filmmaker who explores real estate and communities, across the African continent, including his home country of Nigeria. I'm sure that you'll enjoy the video below in which he learns about an unfamiliar region in northern Nigeria.
